Job Description – Electrician

Reports to : Project Manager, Chargehand,

or Foreman on site

Key Responsibilities :  Adhering to commands from the Foreman or

Charge Hand and installation, termination, and testing of Cat6 and Cat6a cables  . Installation of Fibre Optic Cable. Ability

to deliver a project on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

The installation of Cat6 and Cat6a structured cabling, testing of

installation with a Fluke Cable Analyser and terminating fibre optic cabling

·   Installation of Fibre Optic Cable. Testing of installation with Fluke DSX

·    Read and understand construction drawings

·    Terminate copper cable

·    Test copper cables

·   Test Fibre Cables

·     Ability to work on own initiative

·     Liaise with client if necessary

·     Ensure all Health & Safety precautions are adhered to

·     Ensure all security procedures are strictly adhered to

·     Wear PPE as specified by the manager

·     Be prepared to work on any of the sites serviced by CET Ltd, home

or abroad.  

·        Travel is a requirement of the position

·        Carry out any general duties or ad hoc duties as assigned

General Requirements for the position:

·        Must have a valid safe pass

·        Must have up to date Manual Handling Certificate

·        Working at Heights an advantage

·        MEWP or Hoist Operator training (not essential but would be an advantage)

·        Own transport an advantage
